Christa Fowler

Christa Fowler currently serves as a Recreational Therapist at Wilmington Treatment Center since October 2021. Prior to this role, Christa held the position of Personnel Coordinator at Person County Group Home Inc from May 2019 to November 2021, where responsibilities included maintaining job postings, managing applicant data, and conducting pre-screening for candidates. Additionally, Christa assisted in accreditation and audit preparation by promoting cultural competency and reviewing client records. Previously, Christa worked as an Activities Coordinator at UNC REX Healthcare from May 2020 to May 2021, developing and implementing recreational programs for residents in therapeutic settings, and as a Recreational Therapy Intern at UNC Health Care from January 2019 to April 2019, focusing on treatment for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Christa holds a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and an Associate of Science degree from Cape Fear Community College.
