Michael Kelly

Michael Kelly has extensive work experience in the compliance field. Michael currently holds the position of Head of Compliance at Wilmington Trust, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the EMEA Head of Country Compliance at Wells Fargo from January 2017 to October 2022. Michael also held the role of Head of Compliance at Lombard from February 2014 to December 2016. Before joining Lombard, they worked as a Compliance Senior Manager at KBC Bank Ireland from January 2013 to January 2014. Michael has also held the position of Head of Compliance at Irish Bank Resolution Corporation Limited from May 2005 to January 2013, and Head of Consumer Affairs at Irish Banking Federation from September 1998 to April 2005.

Michael Kelly attended Trinity College Dublin from 1991 to 1995, earning a BA(Hons) degree in Politics and Economics. Michael then pursued further education at Keele University from 2000 to 2001, obtaining an MA degree in Industrial Relations and HRM. In 1995 to 1996, they attended University College Cork, where they completed an MA degree in European Studies.
