Michael O'Friel

Michael O'Friel serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at WIN Waste Innovations, a role held since May 1991. In this capacity, Michael is responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of a $1 billion waste services company with a workforce of 2,200 employees, which operates numerous facilities including waste-to-energy plants and landfills. Key responsibilities include managing litigation, negotiations, and drafting legal documents related to acquisitions, divestitures, construction, and financing. Prior to WIN Waste Innovations, Michael worked as a Legal Associate at Nutter from 1985 to May 1991, focusing on business law, venture capital, and banking services. Michael earned a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Harvard University.
