Maura Farrell

Maura Farrell is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in strategic and external affairs, currently serving as the Associate Head for Strategic and External Affairs at Winchester Thurston School since July 2016. Prior to this role, Maura was the Head of School at Sophia Academy Rhode Island from July 2018 to June 2023 and held various leadership positions at Winchester Thurston School, including Assistant Head for Planning, Director of Institutional Advancement, Director of Capital Campaign, and Director of Communications from July 2002 to December 2011. Maura's consulting experience spans over a decade with Maura Farrell Communications from 1990 to 2002. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
