Sarah Syed

Sarah Syed is an accomplished Youth Advisory Board Member at UN-Habitat, currently serving since October 2023, while also holding the position of Transformation Storytelling Fellow at Community Foundations of Canada since December 2023. Additionally, Sarah has been a Climate Education Workshop Facilitator and Community and Marketing Manager at The Starfish Canada since December 2021, recognized as one of the Top 25 Under 25 Environmentalists in Canada. Sarah represents The Fyera Foundation and Heart Ambassadors as a delegate and speaker at United Nations events and has shared insights at various international forums, reaching over 7,000 individuals across multiple countries. Current roles include Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Researcher at Windfall Ecology Centre and Youth Community Engagement Lead at Bay Area Climate Change Council, alongside previous experience as Program Manager at EarthNet and as a Youth Fellow with the David Suzuki Foundation. Sarah is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Environmental Management at York University and has a diverse educational background from institutions including Creative Destruction Lab and The Knowledge Society.
