Aurora LePort, Ph.D.

Aurora LePort, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Aurora is currently a Senior Data Scientist at Windfall. Prior to that, they worked at Vital Data Technology, LLC as a Senior Data Scientist, where they focused on revolutionizing the traditional model of health plan led care management. At Verizon, they held two roles as a Senior Data Scientist and a Data Scientist, contributing to data analysis and research. Aurora also worked at UC Irvine as an Assistant Project Scientist, investigating cognitive training and its impact on everyday cognition. Aurora was also the Head of Research at grandPad, where they guided research aimed at promoting successful aging through a senior-tailored tablet computer. In addition, they interned as a Research Scientist at Blue Marble Game Co., developing therapeutic neurogaming software tools. Aurora's earlier experiences include being a Neurobiology Doctoral Fellow at UC Irvine, studying Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory (HSAM), and being a Lead Laboratory Technician at Genescient Corporation, where they developed novel therapeutics and managed a team.

Aurora LePort, Ph.D. completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

Aurora obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Psychology and Social Behavior and a minor in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, where they attended from 2004 to 2008.

LePort then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neurobiology and Behavior from UC Irvine, completing their studies from 2009 to 2014.

In 2016, they attended The Data Incubator for a brief period and acquired training in Data Science.

Additionally, LePort obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in various fields. In 2015, they completed a Data Science course at General Assembly. Later, in 2016, they successfully completed the Data Science Intensive program at Springboard. In 2018, they obtained certifications in Introduction to PySpark and Introduction to Time Series Analysis in Python from DataCamp. Most recently, in 2022, they completed Cybersecurity Awareness Training provided by ESET North America.
