Margaret Conroy is the Chief Actuary of the Property & Casualty Division at Windsor Strategy Partners. Margaret has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Windsor Strategy Partners, they were a Manager at KPMG LLP, where they estimated necessary current reserves and future costs for a variety of insurance companies, self-insured companies, and municipalities. Margaret also assisted audits of Fortune 100 and other companies.
Before their time at KPMG, Ms. Conroy was an Assistant Vice President and Actuary at ACE USA, where they performed litigation risk analysis for asbestos and environmental long-term claims, including determining strategy of litigation and evaluating settlement possibilities. Margaret also modeled ultimate costs of asbestos claims for insureds as well as probable allocations to insurance carriers.
Ms. Conroy has also held the positions of Senior Actuarial Analyst at International Insurance Company and Director at CNA Insurance Company. In addition to their work in the insurance industry, they have also taught CAS Part 5 and Part 9 courses.
Margaret Conroy earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology and Evolution from Rutgers University, their Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and German from the University of Notre Dame. Margaret also completed a non-degree program in Mathematics at the University of Bonn.
