Ido Sovran

Ido Sovran has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ido is currently working as the Chief Data Scientist at Windward, a maritime data and analytics company. Prior to this role, they served as the Lead Data Scientist & Team Lead at Windward. Before joining Windward, Ido worked as a Senior Data Scientist & Machine Learning Algorithm Expert at the same company.

Ido also has experience in the mining industry, having worked as a Machine learning & Data Mining Algorithm Engineer at Quantum Pacific Exploration. In this role, they developed and implemented machine learning and data mining algorithms for analyzing large datasets in mineral exploration.

Before transitioning to the data science field, Ido worked at Pythagoras Solar, a start-up company focused on developing solar windows for the BIPV market. Ido held the positions of Project Manager - R&D and Software Engineer - R&D, where they managed projects and contributed to the development of optical models and simulation tools.

Ido's early career was in the Israeli Navy, where they served as a Naval Officer and Submarine Deputy Commander (XO). Ido held this role from 1999 to 2005.

Ido Sovran completed their Bsc degree in Physics and Computer Science at Tel Aviv University from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Physics at Tel Aviv University from 2013 to 2015.
