John L. Barry

John Barry is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various sectors, including cultural institutions, education, and military service. As CEO/President of Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, Barry implemented a successful five-year strategic plan that significantly increased visitor numbers and membership, while overseeing substantial renovation and development projects totaling over $26 million. Previously, as CEO/President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Barry achieved a notable rise in youth participation and secured substantial funding. As District Superintendent of Aurora Public Schools, Barry's strategic initiatives led to improved graduation rates and test scores amidst challenging economic conditions. Barry's military career culminated in the rank of Major General in the United States Air Force, where leadership encompassed both combat and strategic planning roles.
