Filip Geib

Robotics Software Engineer at Wingtra

Filip Geib has seven years of work experience. In 2018, they were a LEAF Award Laureate at LEAF. In 2019, they were a Sensor Fusion Researcher (at JRC) at the European Commission, where they worked on vehicle identification using machine learning, developed a method of processing IMU measurements, and coded in a mixed environment of MATLAB and Python. In 2020, they were an Embedded Hardware Engineer at VisionSpace, where they created an STM32-based onboard computer for CubeSat, designed system, schematics, and PCBs in KiCad, and simulated designed circuits in LTSpice and TINA-Ti. In 2021, they were an Embedded System Engineer at Septentrio, where they created a hardware board extending GNSS receiver, designed system, schematics, and PCB in KiCad, and coordinated PCBs manufacturing and assembly. In 2022, they were a Robotics Machine Learning Engineer at Ericsson, where they worked on an object detection & tracking pipeline in ROS, designed multiple machine learning models in Python, and created spectral-based feature extraction from images. Also in 2022, they were a Hardware Security Research Assistant at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they were a member of a cryptographic research group (part-time), developed side-channel attacks and counter-measures, and worked on signal processing in MATLAB and Python. Filip is currently a Robotics System Engineer at Wingtra, starting in 2023.

Filip Geib has a diverse educational background. Filip graduated from M. M. Hodža Grammar School in Liptovský Mikuláš in 2018 with a General Higher Education degree. Filip then attended Czech Technical University in Prague, where they earned a Bc in Cybernetics and Robotics in 2021. Currently, they are enrolled at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they are pursuing an MSc in Systems, Control and Robotics.
