Claire Galt

Claire Galt is an experienced reporter currently working at WINK NEWS since June 2022, following a role as a Television News MMJ at WSET - TV from October 2021 to June 2022. Claire has a strong background in broadcast journalism, having served as a news anchor at Carolina Week and Carolina Now, where responsibilities included writing and producing original content, conducting interviews, and gaining technical studio experience. Internships at WNY News Now and News Of Orange County involved writing, editing news stories, and producing video and graphic content. Additionally, Claire hosted and produced "The Claire Galt Show" on WCOM Community Radio and managed social media for the station. Educational credentials include a degree from the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media and study abroad experience in Florence, Italy, focusing on international journalism. Previous work includes participation in the North Carolina State Senate Page Program.
