Jonathan Richter is the CEO of Winnona Partners, a previous recipient of the Bonner Scholarship, and former Activities Officer for the Ethnomusicology Association.
Richter began their career as a student scholarship recipient with the Bonner Foundation, conducting 140 hours of community service each semester, as well as two summers of community service work each comprised of 280 hours. The Bonner scholarship provided him with the leadership tools and experience needed to provide help and support for diverse groups of people around the world. Over the course of their Bonner Scholarship, they volunteered in a prison literacy program, Latino IMPACT middle school tutoring program, worked in disaster relief programs in Virginia, North Carolina, and LA, worked as a village painter in a Lutheran retreat center called Holden Village in WA, volunteered at a SOS Children's school in Rourkela India, and taught English at the Eastern Tibetan Training Institute (ETTI) in Shangri-la, China.
In August 2011, Richter became the Activities Officer for the Ethnomusicology Association (EMA), a graduate student organization at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Their duties under this position included creating and organizing public events and performances, public outreach and public relations, community involvement, and promotion.
In May 2012, Richter left the EMA to become the CEO of Winnona Partners.
Jonathan Richter has a Master of Arts in Music from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, a Bachelor of Arts in Music and International Studies- East Asia from Guilford College, and a CET Beijing Semester Abroad from Capital Normal University.
