Ciera Casteel

Ciera Casteel is an experienced collections and processing archivist currently employed at The Winthrop Group, Inc. since October 2019. Previous roles include processing archivist and assistant for archives processing at Ford Motor Company, where Ciera processed over 15,000 digital files and contributed to mass digitization efforts, alongside communicating with stakeholders for research and media. Experience also encompasses a role as assistant paralegal at Lipton Law and an archival internship at the Walter P. Reuther Library of Labor & Urban Affairs, where Ciera processed collections and created resource records. In addition, Ciera served as a social media administrator for the Detroit Literacy Coalition, enhancing online engagement for donations. Ciera holds a Master of Arts in History and a certificate in Archives/Archival Administration from Wayne State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in History from Saginaw Valley State University.
