Jeff Hahnfeld

Jeff Hahnfeld, CPA, MBA is an experienced professional with a strong background in finance and accounting. Jeff has held various leadership positions throughout their career. From 1993 to 1996, Jeff worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Auditor. Jeff then joined The Interlake Corporation in 1996 as a Senior Auditor. In 1997, Jeff moved on to IMC Global, where they served as a Senior Financial Analyst until 2001. At Bank One, Jeff held the position of Vice President - Corporate Accounting Policy & Advisory Services and Commercial Bank Accounting from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2004, they worked at Washington Mutual as an Accounting & Finance Manager - Consumer Finance Group. Jeff then joined Wintrust Financial Corporation in 2004 and held various roles, including Vice President - Crystal Lake Bank & Trust, Vice President - Finance, Senior Vice President - Finance, Senior Vice President & Corporate Controller, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Controller & Chief Accounting Officer.

Jeff Hahnfeld, CPA, MBA, has a diverse education background that encompasses both executive education and advanced degrees. In 1990, they began their educational journey at North Central College where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting in 1993. After graduating, Jeff pursued further studies and enrolled at the DePaul Driehaus College of Business in 2000. Jeff completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance in 2003.

Jeff's commitment to continuous learning led him to participate in executive education programs to further enhance their professional skills. In 2015, they attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business for an executive education program in High Performance Leadership. This program allowed him to develop strategies and techniques for effective leadership in dynamic business environments. Additionally, in 2020, Jeff completed an executive education program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, focusing on Strategic Financial Leadership. This program empowered him with the knowledge and expertise to navigate complex financial landscapes and make strategic decisions.
