Shannon Bennett

Shannon Bennett, CRCM, CAMS, has extensive work experience in the compliance and financial crime field. Shannon is currently a Senior Vice President of Compliance Technology Product Management at Wintrust Financial Corporation, a role they began in October 2022. Before joining Wintrust, Shannon held various senior leadership roles at U.S. Bank, including Senior Vice President - CDDO Chief Operation Officer and Senior Vice President - Financial Crimes Portfolio Leader PMO. Prior to their time at U.S. Bank, Shannon served as the Senior Director - General Manager of Financial Crime Strategy & Consulting at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. Shannon also has experience in AML compliance operations and technology at MoneyGram International, where they held roles such as Sr. Director-Law Enforcement Liaison and Technical Strategies, Senior Director - AML Compliance Operations and Technology, and Director - Compliance Technology Initiatives / Agent Oversight. Shannon began their career at Wells Fargo as a VP - Compliance Consultant and also worked as the Financial Intelligence Compliance Manager/Sr. Product Manager at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. Shannon's work experience shows a strong background in compliance technology and financial crime management, making their a valuable asset in their current role.

Shannon Bennett, CRCM, CAMS completed a Post-Baccalaureate Program in Paralegal from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute, specializing in A.B.A. Approved Paralegal Certificate. Shannon attended this program until 1999. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree from 1992 to 1994 at St. Cloud State University, where they double majored in English with a Business Writing Emphasis and Speech Communication.
