Mary Ann Korenic

Chief Executive Officer, The Chicago Trust Company at Wintrust Wealth Management

As Chief Executive Officer for The Chicago Trust Company, Mary Ann Korenic is responsible for creating, communicating, and implementing the firm’s vision, mission, and overall strategic business development efforts.

She brings over 20 years of wealth management, trust and estate planning, and fiduciary expertise to the role. Upon joining Wintrust in 2013, she started in the Trust Company as a Trust Officer and Senior Wealth Advisor. From there, Mary Ann broadened her responsibilities within the Wintrust Wealth Services group leading business development initiatives and operating as the key point of contact for high net worth clients, business owners, and prospects in matters relating to trust and estate planning. In 2018, Mary Ann was promoted to Managing Director in Wealth Services, taking responsibility for the team of Wealth Services bankers in the Chicago market.

Prior to joining Wintrust, Mary Ann served as Vice President and Senior Trust Team Manager in the Philadelphia/Wilmington region for Wells Fargo, was Director of Trust Administration and Trust Relationship Manager at Fifth Third Private Bank in Chicago, served as Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Executive at First National Bank in Lansing, IL, as well as Personal Trust Relationship Manager and Business Development Officer in the Sun City West, Arizona office of Northern Trust.

Mary Ann graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications and earned her JD from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. Mary Ann holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation and frequently speaks on the topics of trusts and estate planning.
