Avtar Sangha

Avtar Sangha is a highly experienced technology leader with over three decades in the telecommunications and IT sectors. Currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Banking and Capital Markets for Wipro Technologies in the UK and Ireland since April 2015, Avtar is responsible for P&L accountability of $550 million in annual sales and managing Wipro’s largest global flagship customers. Prior to this role, Avtar held various leadership positions, including Vice President at Capgemini, where accountability extended to customer engagement execution across EMEA, and Programme Director at Tech Mahindra, overseeing a $450 million IT implementation for a new telecom operator in Asia. Avtar's career also includes significant achievements at Comverse Technology and Octel Communications, focusing on the implementation of complex communication solutions for Tier 1 operators and multinational institutions. Early career roles at Mitel Telecom and British Telecom provided a strong foundation in network support and customer services.
