As a Senior iOS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of iOS development principles and be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Previous working experience: 7+ years of developing iOS application in Swift and Objective-C
• Working hours: 40hrs/week
• Working Location: Remote/Berlin
• Reports to: iOS Team Lead
• Desired start date: As soon as possible

YOUR CHALLENGE AT WIRE

Be ready to play a key role in our iOS Mobile Engineering Team. You will work closely with the engineering, QA, product, and other teams regularly. You present the results of findings and their mitigations to internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.

• Work closely with QA to identify and close testing gaps.

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in iOS development.

• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and support.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Outstanding ability to work in diverse teams, across multiple time zones and countries.

• Excellent team player. You do not shy away from helping others with hard problems or problems out of your comfort zone.

• 7+ years of experience in designing and building iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.

• 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing, unit, integration, functional and UI tests using XCTest Framework and related technologies.

• 7+ years of experience with CoreData.

• 6+ years of experience with UNNotificationServiceExtension and related limitations.

• Excellent understanding of the Xcode build system and build systems in general.

• Proficiency in SQL and SQLite is a plus

• Working experience with Github Action and Jenkins is a plus.

• Working understanding of public/private key encryption and PKI is a plus.

• Working knowledge of Kotlin and/or Rust is a plus.

• Previous work in real-time communication applications is a plus.
