Laurens Swaans

Member Of Various Working Groups at Wireless Power Consortium

Laurens Swaans is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in wireless power and measurement equipment. Currently serving as CTO at nok9 AB since July 2016, Laurens has led advancements in test automation and quality assurance. As a longstanding member of the Wireless Power Consortium since 2009, Laurens holds the position of Chairman of the Low Power Work Group, contributing to the development of the global wireless power standard "Qi." Previous roles include Director of Technology Strategy & System Architect at ConvenientPower Ltd and hardware design positions at Philips and Janssen Precision Engineering. Laurens holds a Master of Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong, an MSc in Systems & Control from Eindhoven University of Technology, and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Zuyd University.
