Mirza Nazrul Alam has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent role is as a Sr. Researcher in Radio Simulations at Wirepas, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Florida R&D Associates as an R&D Engineer from October 2017 to May 2021, where they focused on research and development in the area of Wireless Access Networks, 3GPP LTE, 5G, MAC and PHY layers, IoTs. Before that, they were a Visiting Researcher at Aalto University School of Science and Technology in 2017.

From 2009 to 2017, Mirza worked in various research and development roles at Aalto University, Nokia Research Center, and Ericsson Finland. Mirza Nazrul collaborated on multiple projects and conducted research in the field of Telecommunications. In 2008, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology, where they conducted analytical exercises and assisted in teaching a Network Access course.

Mirza's earlier experiences include working as a Simulator Developer at Elektrobit (EB) in 2007, where they implemented a channel allocation algorithm for a large Mesh network and performed extensive performance studies. Mirza Nazrul also worked as a Teacher at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology from 2000 to 2006, teaching courses such as Object-oriented programming, Data Structure, Algorithm design and Analysis, Discrete Mathematics, and Operating System. Prior to that, they were a Teacher at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, where they taught courses in Electronic circuits, Microprocessors and interfacing techniques, and Microwave Engineering.

Mirza Nazrul Alam completed their education in a chronological order. Mirza Nazrul started their education at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology from 1994 to 1998, where they earned their B.Sc. in Engineering with a specialization in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Mirza Nazrul then continued their studies at the University of Vaasa from 2006 to 2009, graduating with an M.Sc. in Technology, focusing on Telecommunication Engineering. Lastly, they pursued a D.Sc. in Technology at Aalto University from 2009 to 2017, specializing in Communications Engineering.
