The board of directors at Wirex has a diverse range of experience in the financial industry. The managing director has experience working in merchant services at Lloyds Banking Group, as well as being a guest lecturer at the University of Cambridge. The head of digital risk, compliance and public policy has worked at HSBC and Visa Europe. Both the managing director and head of digital risk, compliance and public policy have also completed business administration degrees at Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford respectively.
