Sam Pavel

Sam Pavel has a diverse work experience in the music industry and related fields. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Computer Installation Technician at pc/nametag. In 2013, they took on the role of Head Stage Manager/Principal Percussionist at UW Milwaukee Community Orchestra while also becoming a Student Assistant at UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts Box Office. In 2014, they became a UW-Milwaukee Honors Band Percussion Coach. In 2015, they worked as an Adaptive Camp Counselor at YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee and as a Student Artist In Residence Assistant at Creative Trust. They also began their freelance work as a Percussionist and Music Educator, performing with various orchestras, theaters, and ballets and teaching private lessons. In 2016, they became a Percussion Coordinator at San Diego State University. From 2018 to 2019, they served as the Orchestra & Operations Manager at San Luis Obispo Symphony Orchestra. Currently, they hold the position of Production Manager at Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and they recently became Director Of Operations in October 2020. Throughout their roles, they have demonstrated skills in concert production, managing orchestra personnel, coordinating rehearsals, and organizing music libraries.

Sam Pavel has a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from San Diego State University, which was obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, Sam obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee between 2012 and 2016. In addition, Sam has obtained certifications in Data Visualization, JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, and Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp in 2019.
