Randy Romanski has extensive experience in public service and leadership roles within various departments in Wisconsin state government. Currently serving as Secretary-designee at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection since January 2019, Randy has also held positions as Interim Secretary and Deputy Secretary in the same department. Prior to this, Randy worked as Safety Programs Chief at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation from January 2011 to 2019, and previously served as Deputy Secretary and Secretary at the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection from April 2008 to September 2010. Additional experience includes roles as Executive Assistant at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Governor Jim Doyle. Randy's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the Robert M. La Follette Institute of Public Affairs at UW Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UW-River Falls.
