Katherine Bruni

Katherine Bruni is a seasoned Environmental Justice, Air Quality, and Sustainability Specialist at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation since August 2022. In this role, Katherine acts as the statewide technical expert on transportation conformity, air quality, and environmental justice, providing consultation and support for various programs and projects. Prior experience includes serving as an Advanced Environmental Analysis and Review Specialist at WisDOT, where Katherine reviewed environmental documents and led wetland bank development efforts. Previous roles include a Research Officer at 89 Netherlands, conducting research on energy cooperatives in Europe, and various positions at the United States Postal Service and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Katherine holds a Master of Science in Human Development and a Master of Public Policy in Risk and Vulnerability Studies from United Nations University-MERIT and Maastricht University, respectively, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Planning, Public Administration, and Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
