Umair Akram

Umair Akram is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing and managing software solutions across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Wise since November 2022, Umair previously held similar positions at Moss and TransferWise, where critical contributions included implementing RESTful APIs and migrating database systems for improved data management. Umair began the career at VentureDive, working on projects such as the Careem project, developing microservices and ensuring robust testing methodologies. With a foundational role as a Software Analyst at Afiniti.com and early experience at CloudPlex, Umair has honed skills in back-end development, real-time system monitoring, and CI/CD pipeline creation. Umair holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences.
