Shamineh Mavalvala

Shamineh Mavalvala's work experience includes various roles in different organizations.

Starting in 2011, they worked as a Patient Services Officer at Bupa Cromwell Hospital until August 2012.

From September 2013 to July 2014, they were an Office Manager at The British Pakistan Foundation.

Next, from September 2014 to September 2016, they served as the Programme Manager at The Concordia Forum.

In 2014, they also worked as a Research Consultant at Unitas Communications from August 2014 to October 2016.

Moving to OxEd, they were a Project Coordinator from October 2016 to January 2017.

Shamineh then joined the Design Business Association (DBA) as an Events Coordinator from February 2017 to May 2017.

From June 2017 to July 2017, they volunteered as a Chef at FoodCycle.

At the same time, they also worked as a Programs Volunteer at Green Shoots Foundation from June 2017 to July 2017.

In July 2017, they founded their own business, Līmbudī, where they worked as a Founder and Chef until June 2023.

Most recently, since June 2023, Shamineh has been working as a Products & Services Assistant at WISE.

Shamineh Mavalvala's education history begins with their completion of an Ontario High School Diploma at Erindale Secondary School from 2004 to 2007. Shamineh then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in Environmental Studies, Gender Studies, and Spanish from 2007 to 2011.

In 2009, Shamineh Mavalvala attended Texas Tech University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Iberian Studies. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Sussex in 2012 and completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Social Development in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Shamineh Mavalvala has acquired various certifications. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate in English Language Teaching from TEFL Express. Later, in 2016, they obtained a Level 2 Food Hygiene for Catering certification from High Speed Training Ltd. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained a Level 3 Food Hygiene and Safety certification from Training Express.
