Alexander Thomas

Alexander Thomas has extensive work experience in the field of data science and software engineering. Alexander currently holds the position of Principal Data Scientist at Wisecube, starting in June 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Indeed.com from April 2017 to May 2019, where they were embedded on the Indeed Questions team and built a Bayesian inference model for screener question selection.

Before joining Indeed.com, Alexander worked as a Senior Data Science Engineer at Voicebox Technologies Corporation from November 2016 to March 2017. Alexander also had a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Atigeo from March 2016 to October 2016.

Alexander's work experience also includes a position as an Associate Data Scientist at ID Analytics from October 2015 to February 2016. Alexander was responsible for building data pipelines, improving fairness in financial credit monitoring models, and setting up software engineering processes for the data science organization.

Prior to that, they worked at Atigeo as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2014 to September 2015. Their responsibilities included building data quality analysis reports, developing NLP libraries, and serving as a SCRUM master.

In addition, Alexander worked as a Software Engineer and Science Intern at Atigeo from September 2012 to June 2014. During this time, they built text analysis components, experimented with featurization DSL, and developed search engine solutions.

Before beginning their career in data science and software engineering, Alexander worked as a Tutor at Edmonds Community College from October 2004 to December 2006.

Alexander Thomas attended Edmonds College from 2003 to 2006. However, there is no information regarding the degree or field of study. Following that, they attended the University of Washington from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a BS/BA degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
