Stuart McWhinnie

Stuart McWhinnie has a wealth of diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Stuart is currently the Head of Legal Technology at Thompsons Solicitors Scotland since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Business Transformation Director at Wise Group starting in November 2018. Stuart also has extensive experience as the Managing Director of Macmi Consulting since March 2011. In terms of their technology-related roles, they held positions such as Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank from June 2017 to May 2018, CTO at TM Group from May 2014 to November 2015, CTO at EurotaxGlass's from January 2012 to May 2014, and Director of Customer Technology at BSkyB from June 1996 to May 2004. Stuart also served as the Technology And Business Development Director at Onesearch Direct from May 2004 to March 2011 and as a Spares Regional Manager - Problem Manager at ICL from June 1989 to July 1996. Stuart was also involved with ACCA as a Programme Director from December 2015 to April 2017.

Stuart McWhinnie attended Hamilton Grammar from 1977 to 1983, but no degree or field of study was specified during this period. Later on, they pursued higher education at the University of Stirling from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Management Science. McWhinnie also obtained a certification as an IOD Certified Director from the Institute of Directors in June 2010.
