Clarke Newton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as a Sales Associate at Old Navy in 2013 and worked there until 2017. Concurrently, they were also involved in theater-related roles such as Press Release Copywriter, Playbill Editor, and Publicity Team Member at TheaterCNU from 2014 to 2016. In 2015, they interned at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a Performing Arts for Everyone Intern and later returned as a Guest Producer.

In 2017, Clarke began working at Capital Fringe Festival as a Stage Manager and also joined Walt Disney World as an Attractions Intern. They continued their involvement in the performing arts industry in 2017 by working as a Program Assistant at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Starting in 2018, Clarke took on the role of Program Coordinator and Page-to-Stage Festival Producer at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and later worked as a Stage Manager at Capital Fringe Festival. From 2018 to 2022, they held various roles at Venmo including Fraud Analyst, Customer Support Specialist, Senior Risk Specialist, and Supervisor of Risk Operations.

Most recently, in 2022, Clarke joined Wisetack as a Fraud Analyst.

Clarke Newton attended Oakcrest School from 2006 to 2013, where they obtained their high school education. In 2013, they enrolled at Christopher Newport University and pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Theatre/Theater with a double concentration in Arts Administration and Directing/Dramatic Literature. Their time at Christopher Newport University lasted until 2017. In 2016, Clarke also attended The Second City Training Center for a comedy studies program. Following their undergraduate education, Clarke furthered their comedic education by attending The Second City Conservatory from 2019 to 2020.

Clarke Newton also obtained several certifications outside of their formal education. In November 2021, they received certifications in "Leading Productive Meetings," "Microsoft Teams Quick Tips (2019)," and "Virtual Performance Reviews and Feedback" from LinkedIn. Additionally, Clarke obtained an "Interviewing Techniques" certification from LinkedIn in October 2021.
