John Valdes

John Valdes currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Wish Farms, a position held since 2023. Previously, Valdes was Vice President of Finance & Operations at Samson & Surrey from 2019 to 2023, where notable achievements included facilitating a successful financial exit for original investors and driving significant brand growth internationally. Valdes also held the role of Director of Finance and Accounting for the Miami Marlins during a transition to new ownership, implementing modern financial practices and leading a finance team. Early in the career, Valdes contributed as Corporate Controller at Samson & Surrey, supporting financial infrastructure in a startup environment, and served as Senior Audit Associate at Grant Thornton LLP, managing a diverse multimillion-dollar client portfolio. Valdes began the professional journey as an Accountant at Galiana Management Inc. and holds a Master of Accounting from Florida Atlantic University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Barry University.
