Neil Volungis

Neil Volungis is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Wistia since July 2015. In this role, Neil focuses on impactful projects, notably developing a browser-based video editor. As a founding member of the Soapbox team, Neil played a key role in launching Wistia's second product, taking it from prototype to market in six months. Previous positions include Senior Software Engineer and Engineer at Wistia, where responsibilities involved full-stack development and modernizing the front-end stack, including a significant overhaul of the video player. Prior to Wistia, Neil worked as a Web Developer at CTP, maintaining over 20 websites, an Update Programmer at Meditech, providing technical support during software upgrades, and a Residential Network Support Technician at Assumption College. Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Assumption University.
