Nélida Gómez

Nélida Gómez is the Vice President of Strategic Foresight at Wisy. Nélida has over four years of experience in coordinating grant proposals and execution, carrying out special projects, managing intellectual property, providing insights for product development, and raising non-dilutive capital. In their role, they also provide foresight perspectives to strengthen Wisy's strategy as to how the company's unique innovation relates to the evolving needs of society.

Prior to joining Wisy, Nélida was a Business Partner and Science Advisor at Saber Panama Group where they worked with businesses and startups to deliver and bring forward technology commercialization, technological development, and innovation with a focus on the shared-value economy. Nélida also designed and delivered wellbeing programs for women entrepreneurs based on scientific evidence, as well as co-active coaching sessions toward developing their personal capabilities.

Before their time at Saber Panama Group, Nélida worked as a Tech Transfer and IP Specialist at SENACYT (Secretaría Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación) and as a Tech Transfer Analyst at CAF - Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina.

Nélida Gómez completed a Master's in Technology and Innovation Management at The University of Queensland in 2015. Through the program, they gained the knowledge and skills to effectively manage innovation and technology in both public and private sector organisations. The program aimed to improve business productivity and global competitiveness, and to develop the skills and knowledge to access the power of innovation, technology, research, new product/service development and commercialisation in own organisations.
