Janelle Escayg. (MBA,PHR)

Janelle Escayg has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources, spanning over 15 years. Janelle is currently working as the Director of Human Resources at Witherite Law Group since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Director of People Operations and Director of Human Resources at Downtown Dallas, Inc. from 2020 to 2022.

Before that, Janelle was the HR Manager and Sr. HR Generalist at Houston Zoo from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for recruitment, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations. Janelle also worked at Achilles Group as an HR Generalist and Human Resources Coordinator, where they advised management on disciplinary practices, trained employees on employment laws, and conducted I-9 audits.

Janelle's earliest work experience was at the University of St. Thomas-Houston, where they served as an HR Coordinator/Benefits Administrator from 2012 to 2015. Janelle started their career at DSW, where they worked as a Manager, overseeing both merchandising and HR functions.

Janelle holds an MBA and PHR certification, and throughout their career, they have demonstrated skills in strategic HR planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, and policy development.

Janelle Escayg holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in International Business and Management Information Systems from the University of St. Thomas (TX), which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to their MBA, they completed a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management (MSHRM) from Houston Christian University during the years 2009 to 2011. Janelle Escayg also obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from the University of Houston between 2000 and 2004.

In terms of additional certifications, Janelle Escayg achieved the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in July 2016. Janelle further obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in September 2019.
