Marcia Hofmann recently launched a boutique law practice focused on technology law issues. She is also a Non-Residential Fellow at the Stanford Law School Center for Internet and Society, and an adjunct professor at UC Hastings College of the Law. Previously, Hoffman was a Senior Staff Attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, where she remains as special counsel. Her cutting-edge litigation defended the digital civil liberties of researchers and hackers against murky laws, and she co-founded EFF’s open government project to publicize documents that have been reported by the NYT, NPR, Fox News, and CNN.
