Daniel Leighton began their work experience in 1994 at CNET as a Manager for CNET Online. In 1995, they founded a company called Webolution, where they served as the owner until 2011. In 2001, they became the President of Annatarian Designs, Inc., a position they held until 2011. In 1989, they co-founded WITI (Women in Technology International), a global network for women in technology. Currently, they are an artist, speaker, and developer for their own company, Daniel Leighton Art, which they started in 2009. Daniel is known for their contemporary art and their work with iPad painting and Augmented Reality Art.
Daniel Leighton attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies.
