Kevin Snyder

Kevin brings more than two decades of public and private sector experience helping people and communities achieve their disaster recovery and resilience goals. Over the course of his career, Kevin has successfully built and led large, inter-disciplinary teams in a range of complex and demanding environments across multiple levels of government. This includes leading post-disaster recovery planning initiatives, integrating and leveraging Federal disaster recovery programs, and designing resiliency policy and planning projects for national and local level partners.

In his role as the appointed Federal Coordinating Officer and Federal Disaster Recovery Coordinator for multiple disasters, Kevin has led critical efforts to help States and local communities achieve their desired recovery outcomes. These include the development of Puerto Rico’s Economic and Disaster Recovery Plan after Hurricane Maria, leading the Federal Government’s interagency recovery support to West Virginia after their June 2016 floods and the FEMA Region III COVID-19 Interagency Recovery Coordination Task Force.
