Senior Product Designer

Product · Full-time · Remote · Remote possible

Job description

Wizard is on a mission to build the most powerful AI-driven conversational commerce platform. Our B2B software empowers brands to transact with consumers via text, launching an entirely new sales channel to capture increased transactions, conversions, engagement and loyalty. C-commerce is exploding to a $1 Trillion market in the next decade and Wizard is positioned to become the dominant technology in the space.

Wizard is backed by Marc Lore and a $50M Series A from top tech VCs. We’re quickly scaling our team and technology and seeking passionate and growth-minded tech talent to join the ride.

The Role

You will play a critical role as the first product designer at Wizard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the UX of our key interfaces for our 3 stakeholder groups: merchants, end consumers, and Wizard internal operational team. You’ll be designing a brand new dashboard product for merchants, improving the mobile web-app touchpoints for the end consumer SMS flow, and redesigning the task oriented order workflow platform that our internal team uses to chat with end consumers.
  • Move fast and deliver projects from start to finish that improve the experience of our stakeholder groups. We have a big roadmap ahead of us and immediate product design needs. Speed and consistent quality are key.
  • Partner with business leaders, product managers, and other internal stakeholders to drive a design vision that is consistent with company priorities and user needs.
  • Define and stand up initial design processes in collaboration with product and engineering.
  • Identify when various UX initiatives are needed and lead them, including user journey mapping, brainstorming workshops, sketching, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, user testing, and more.
  • Pinch-hit user research initiatives.
  • Lead by example: promote empathetic user centric design, constant learning, and attention to detail while always being friendly, humble, and open to being challenged.

What We Are Looking For

  • Have 4+ years of design experience. Previous UI/UX/Visual design experience with a SaaS product, a dashboard product, data visualization, or a task oriented workflow is preferred.
  • Have expert knowledge of the end to end iterative product design process, including developing and using personas, job stories, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, user research, user testing, and high fidelity visuals.
  • Are methodical and data driven in your approach to user testing, and know how to incorporate data analytics to help validate your hypotheses.
  • Have some experience with multiple user research methods, such as user interviews, surveys, card sorting, field studies, etc.
  • Have experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working with cross-functional teams including engineering and product management.
  • Are able to expertly communicate your design ideas, and help your stakeholders understand the “why” behind your design rationale.
  • Are a go-getter that thrives in ambiguous environments. When faced with a project that may not be fully scoped out, you know how to proactively get answers and work with partners to define it.
  • Excel at your attention to detail on immediate design needs, while keeping an eye towards longer term scalability, design consistency, and internal documentation/organization.
  • Are deeply empathetic to the user and a champion for good user experiences.
  • (Not required, nice to have) Have experience designing conversations for chat interfaces
  • (Not required, nice to have) Have experience building and growing a design team.
