Rafael Alvarez Vallina

Rafael Alvarez Vallina has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2006. Rafael began their career as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, followed by an MBA Intern role at PasswordBank in 2011. In 2012, they became a Senior Product Manager at Symantec, where they led a team of 50 engineers in the rebuild of the backup platform and user experience. From 2015 to 2019, they held various roles at Omaze, including Director of Product, Senior Product Manager, and Product Manager. During this time, they led Product Management and UX and recruited and retained key Product and UX talent. In 2019, they became a Senior Product Manager at Amazon, working on Prime Video. In 2020, they were promoted to Principal Product Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), a role they currently hold. In 2021, they became Co-Founder at Wizest.

Rafael Alvarez Vallina holds a Bachelor in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad de Oviedo and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance (obtained in February 2014), Gamification from Coursera (obtained in October 2012), and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence from Udacity (obtained in September 2009).
