Mark Gaskins, II is an experienced photojournalist with a career spanning over a decade in the news industry. Currently employed at WJBF News Channel 6 since April 2012, Gaskins is responsible for daily news production, editing newscasts, and meeting tight deadlines. Prior experience includes positions at WCIV from March 2010 to April 2012 and WPDE from October 2008 to February 2009, all focusing on similar photojournalistic duties. Gaskins holds an Associate of Science degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies from Full Sail University, completed in 2001.

WJBF NewsChannel 6 signed on in Augusta, Georgia as an ABC affiliate in November 1953 and is owned by Nexstar Media Group. WJBF–TV has been awarded the prestigious "Station of Year"​ award by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters in 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, and 2003.
