Jordan Nightingale has a diverse work history that includes positions in writing, editing, coaching, and marketing. They started their career in 2014 with roles such as Editorial Team Member for ing Magazine, Staff Writer, Editor, and Production Assistant for The Sun Times, and Editor for The Awesome Mitten. In 2015, Nightingale also worked as a Media Coordinator for the University of Michigan Credit Union and as an Associate Editor for The Awesome Mitten. From 2016 to 2019, they held the role of Marketing Coordinator-Development at the University of Michigan Law School. In 2019, Nightingale became the Communications Manager for Community Engagement at the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research, where they designed and launched a monthly e-newsletter and consulted on community engagement strategies. They then moved on to work as a Marketing and Communications Manager at Michigan Language Assessment, where they developed and implemented marketing strategies and oversaw the creation of SEO-friendly content. Currently, Nightingale is working at WKAR at Michigan State University as the Director of Digital Engagement. Additionally, Nightingale founded Top Candidate Consulting in 2015, a business where they use their knowledge and connections to coach individuals through their career challenges.

Jordan Nightingale attended Lansing Community College from 2010 to 2012, earning an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Histologic Technology/Histotechnologist. Following this, they went on to study at Michigan State University from 2012 to 2015. At Michigan State University, Nightingale earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Professional Writing and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature/Letters.
