Melanie Hidy

Melanie Hidy is an experienced photojournalist currently working at WKBW-TV since January 2022, focusing on capturing and editing visual content for multiple platforms and collaborating with newsroom personnel. Additionally, Melanie serves as a Technical Director and Camera Operator for Live Nation Entertainment since October 2021, while also managing Totallyjoker Productions as an Owner and Videographer since September 2017, producing a wide range of videos utilizing Adobe Creative Suite. Previous roles include Marketing Associate at The Schwartz Group, Inc., Video Production Assistant at Justin Bondi Productions, and various assistant positions in video production settings. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Digital Media Arts from Canisius University and possesses a solid foundation in technical direction and event production from earlier experiences at Canisius College Film Institute and multiple production companies.
