Claire McLellan-Cassivi

Claire McLellan-Cassivi is an experienced volunteer librarian and data analyst, known for significant contributions at the MIT Science Fiction Society and MIT Wallace Astrophysical Observatory. Since September 2020, Claire has volunteered extensively, managing rare book conservation efforts and engaging in outreach activities. As a program director and general manager at WMBR 88.1 FM, Claire scheduled over 100 radio shows and facilitated communication between community members and the MIT administration. Academic achievements include serving as an undergraduate teaching assistant in hands-on astronomy, conducting research on asteroids, and producing an award-winning thesis on Pluto. Claire holds a Bachelor's degree in Planetary Astronomy and Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has gained valuable experience operating telescopes and analyzing astronomical data.
