Christopher Rand has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Christopher is currently serving as the Vice President and Trust Manager at WNB Financial, N.A. since May 2022. Prior to this, from August 2019 to September 2022, they worked as an Independent Consultant at CHRand Consulting.
Before their independent consulting role, Christopher worked at Citizens Bank, N.A. as the Senior Vice President of the Institutional Services Group. In this position from September 2014 to July 2019, they were a member of the executive management team overseeing the Citizens Private Bank, which had $3.2 billion in assets under management and $3.7 billion in custody.
From July 2006 to April 2013, Christopher held the position of Vice President at ING National Trust. Christopher managed and supervised a portfolio of over 1,200 trust accounts, conforming to fiduciary, banking, and ERISA standards. Christopher also played a key role in formulating vendor management and department policies and procedures.
Prior to joining ING National Trust, Christopher worked at Webster Bank as a Vice President. In this role from 1997 to 2006, they directed all aspects of selling and servicing trust and institutional assets worth $1.75 billion, which included various types of accounts such as 401k, 403b, 457, pensions, and more. During this period, they significantly expanded the client base by 100% and increased fees by 300%.
Christopher began their career at Union Trust in 1986 as an Assistant Vice President Trust. Christopher later worked at Bank of America (formerly Fleet/Shawmut Bank) as an Institution Relationship Manager from September 1993 to March 1997. Christopher then briefly worked at MassMutual Financial Group as an Administrative Team Leader from March 1997 to November 1997.
Overall, with their extensive experience in trust management, institutional services, and consulting, Christopher Rand has developed a strong track record in the financial industry.
Christopher Rand attended the University of Vermont from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance. Christopher also holds a certification in Series 65 from FINRA, obtained in the year 2021.
