Jessica Captanis

VP, Originations, West at WNC

Jessica Captanis is the current VP of Originations, West at WNC. Jessica has over five years of experience in the financial industry.

Jessica started their career as an intern at UBS Wealth Management from January to June 2010. After their internship, they worked as an assistant relationship manager at U.S. Bank from April 2013 to July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for managing assigned relationships and loan portfolios, including underwriting new loan and modification requests and submitting to credit committee, analyzing financial data, preparing written analyses and financial models, monitoring construction and large permanent loans quarterly, identifying cross-sell opportunities with customers and making appropriate referrals. Jessica was also a member of the CDC/CLD Dual Transaction Committee, representing CLD in determining efficiencies and potential improvements to the underwriting and closing process for dual transactions with our equity arm; they also created a dual due diligence checklist.

Jessica’s hard work and dedication was recognized in April 2013 when they won the APEX Award, which is awarded nationally by Vice Chairman of Real Estate for excellence in ARM performance.

In their current role as VP of Originations, West at WNC, Jessica is responsible for leading a team of origination professionals in WNC’s Western US territory. Jessica is focused on growing WNC’s investment sales platform by working with both new and existing clients to source off-market transactional opportunities.

Jessica Captanis has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Jessica also studied Italian at Università degli Studi di Firenze during a semester abroad.

Jessica Captanis works with Kristin Han - VP, Compliance, Darrick Metz - SVP, Originations, and Ann Caruana - SVP, Acquisitions, Preservation Equity Funds. Their manager is Wilfred N. Cooper Jr., President & CEO.
