Valerie Hoffman

Valerie Hoffman currently serves as the Head of Intervention Science at Woebot Health, a position held since March 2022. Previously, Valerie was the Chief Research Officer and Head of Research at Meru Health from February 2019 to March 2022. Prior roles include Director and Senior Research Epidemiologist at RTI International from October 2010 to February 2019, and Senior Biostatistician Manager at Lockheed Martin between April 2008 and October 2010. Valerie's academic background includes an Adjunct Assistant Professor position at The University of Iowa Health Care, held since November 2002. Valerie earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychiatric Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Behavioral Neuroscience from Lehigh University.
