Afshin Dadvand

Afshin Dadvand is a Senior Packaging Engineer at Wolfspeed since 2022, with previous experience as an R&D Engineer at Cummins Inc. for a brief period in 2022. Prior to that, Dadvand served as a Research Scientist and Lab Manager at McGill from December 2017 to 2022, and as an Associate Research Scientist at the National Research Council Canada from December 2012 to December 2017. Dadvand's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Material Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Scientific Research (EMT-INRS) and McGill University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering. Throughout a career, Dadvand has received several prestigious fellowships, including the NSERC Industrial R&D Fellowships and the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies. Dadvand also held the position of Visiting Research Fellow at Waseda University in 2011, supported by bursaries from MELS and CSACS.
