Margot Gerritsen

Margot Gerritsen is a highly experienced professional currently holding the position of Professor Emerita at Stanford University. With a background in Scientific Computing, Computational Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering, Margot has also served as the Senior Associate Dean in Educational Affairs at the School of Earth, Energy, and Environmental Sciences. Gerritsen is the Director of the Institute of Computational & Mathematical Engineering at Stanford and is also the Executive Director and co-Founder of Women in Data Science (WiDS) Worldwide, a global initiative that empowers women in the field of Data Science. Prior to their current roles, Margot has held teaching positions at the University of Auckland and the University of Colorado Denver.
