Salma Elgamal

Salma ElGamal is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in health policy, research, and consultancy across various esteemed organizations. Currently serving as a Technical Officer for Social Health Protection at the International Labour Organization, Salma also contributes as a Public Health Researcher at Women in Global Health, leading a significant systematic review on diversity in global health leadership. Prior roles include a Public Health Consultant at Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute, where technical support was provided for the UHC2030 initiative, and multiple consulting positions with the World Health Organization focusing on health research and development, sexual and reproductive health policy, and health systems research. Salma's educational background includes advanced degrees in health policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, alongside a BSc in Physical Therapy from Cairo University.
