Anna Schmiel

Anna Schmiel serves as an Outreach and Marketing Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration, facilitating technical support and compliance for Microloan and Women’s Business Center Programs. Previously, at Hennepin County, Anna functioned as a Policy and Communications Aide, where efforts included building community relationships and drafting policy initiatives. Anna also coordinated community engagement and outreach programs at the Northside Economic Opportunity Network, managing data collection and event planning while responding to COVID-19 challenges. With experience as a Tech-Connected College Coach at College Possible and conducting research in various roles, Anna has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement and policy development. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sustainable Design at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Anna holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Carleton College, where recognition for academic excellence was received.
