Mansi Shah is an Advisor at Women Who Code. Prior to that, they were a Senior Staff Engineer at MapR Technologies, which was acquired by the Hewlett Packard Enterprise company in 2019. Mansi was with MapR for just over two years and was the Product Lead for the team that delivered MapR Streams, a global publish-subscribe event streaming system which is Kafka API compliant. The message queue was layered on sharded nosql mapr-db with a highly available centralized metadata server architecture.

Prior to joining MapR, Mansi spent four years at VMware as a Staff Engineer. Mansi was an early member of VMWare's Virtual SAN (VSAN) team and was the Tech Lead for two key VSAN modules: the distributed, policy-driven object placement engine and the cluster management and directory service.

Before VMware, Mansi spent three years at IBM as an Advisory Research Engineer. And before IBM, Mansi spent a year as a Research Assistant at the Robotics Lab at USC. Mansi began their career as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Microsoft Corporation in May 2006.

Mansi Shah has a Type: Engineering Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, a Master in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Pune university. Mansi also has a certification from University of California, Berkeley in Engineering Leadership Professional Program and another certification from Federal Aviation Administration in Private Aircraft Pilot.
